Your Needs and the Methods Used

Everyone’s needs are unique. Among the methods used, several of our staff members adhere to an integrative approach to treatment, drawing upon Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness Therapy interventions. In our practice, we also draw upon Internal Family Systems Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy.

ACT helps individuals develop psychological flexibility, acceptance, and mindfulness, allowing them to move toward valued life directions despite challenges and emotional distress. CBT allows patients to explore the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, empowering individuals to challenge unhelpful patterns and develop more adaptive coping strategies.

For those who have experienced trauma, Prolonged Exposure therapy can be utilized to promote the processing and healing of traumatic memories, reducing the impact of post-traumatic stress and reclaiming a sense of safety and control.

Regardless of your needs, our professional staff members work to understand them and adapt your therapy to meet them in a client-centred and compassionate environment.

Your therapeutic alliance will be built on trust, empathy, and respect. With several mental health professionals on staff, you’ll find comfort in knowing the perfect fit can be found for your needs.
